About Me
Hi, my name is Hannah. I use she/her and they/them pronouns. I am a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I have over seven years of experience in mental health services, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. When I'm not seeing clients, I enjoy creating art, camping, and spending time with my two mischievous cats.
My Approach
I believe every client is different and deserves their own unique therapy experience. Before we begin our work together, we will create a collaborative treatment plan, informed by your goals for therapy. My approach is gentle, with a hint of compassionate confrontation. I embrace an anti-oppressive framework, with intentional attunement to the intersections of your identity (e.g. gender, race, age, sexual orientation, etc.). Knowing how difficult therapy can be, I also try to bring humour into my sessions as much as possible.
Therapeutic Modalities
I have training in the following therapy modalities:
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Solutions-Focused Therapy (SFT)
- Somatic therapy
- Art therapy
- Mindfulness-based therapy
